techTITANS

We like to think of techTITANS as a launch pad. Being the first of the three competitions in the Utah Entrepreneur Series, this event encompasses the idea stage of creating a business. Here, students receive instruction in the idea-to-development process and compete with their peers for the best idea submission. Participants are given the opportunity to build relationships with other like-minded individuals within the university and business community.

The greenTITANS component of the competition rewards students for developing environmentally-conscious ideas, so do your best to go green!

University students throughout Utah are encouraged to participate. Competitors can register either as individuals or as a team. Winners will be awarded up to $5,000 for development of their idea.

techTITANS Season Calendar

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 5:00pm	Idea Challenge Submission Deadline Deadline is strictly enforced.
Monday, Oct. 22, 2012	Top 10 Finalists’ Announced Final 10 will be announced on the UES homepage and via e-mail.
Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 5:30 – 7:00pm	Mentor Reception As part of the techTitans mentorship program, the Top 10 will meet with assigned mentors of business professionals from across the State of Utah to better prepare teams’ for the final presentation and judging.
Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 1:00pm – 5:00pm	Final Presentation & Judging The last round of judging, the Final 10 will present their ideas and finish with a short question & answer period with the judges before final decisions are made for the $5,000 prize.
Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 5:30 – 6:30pm	Final Awards Banquet The techTitans 2011-2012 winner will be announced at the final awards reception held at the Architectural Nexus.
